Fatal overdose leads to federal charges for alleged fentanyl dealer

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A Portland man is facing federal charges after a fatal overdose investigation in Multnomah County led to accusations that he has distributed fentanyl in the area.

The overdose took place on June 2 near Wood Village, where deputies seized what they believed to be fentanyl and traced its source back to 43-year-old Daryl Antonio Edward Turner, according to Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 5, investigators contacted Turner in Portland and seized $922, a firearm, and counterfeit pills suspected to contain fentanyl.

Turner was charged by criminal complaint with distribution of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime…
