Family of motorcyclist nearly killed in Beaverton hit-and-run frustrated by defendant’s escape

VANCOUVER, Wash. (KPTV) – The family of Correy Medeiros, the motorcyclist and hit-and-run victim who was nearly killed during an incident on May 5, says they’re frustrated that the defendant, Samir Pazzoto-Filho, is now at-large for the second time.

“I think the fact that he’s out in public and this could happen again, and I don’t want this to happen to anyone, is awful,” Patsy Medeiros said, the victim’s mother.

“You’re putting so many people’s lives as risk, it’s a safety risk,” Brittni Capps said, the victim’s sister. “It’s not like there was an established relationship, and someone lost their temper. This was completely at random, so if we were at random or at risk, when my brother was driving to work, whoever interacts with him is at risk. I just don’t know why you would roll that dice.”…
