DOJ charges Portland man with assaulting federal officer during ICE protest

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Portland man is accused of assaulting a federal law enforcement officer during a protest outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility, authorities said.

Deni Jungic Wolf, 19, appeared in a federal court on Wednesday. He was accused of assaulting a federal officer, resulting in bodily injury during a protest in South Portland on Monday night, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

About 25 people gathered outside the ICE facility during the protest, allegedly erecting a “make-shift shield wall that blocked vehicle traffic.”
