PHOTOS: 2 arrested, 4 vehicles towed after Portland police street racing mission

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A weekend street takeover mission conducted by Portland Police Bureau resulted in multiple arrests and vehicle tows.

PPB officers say they made 20 traffic stops, which led to four vehicles being towed, three arrests and two citations.

“This mission aimed to create a safer community by deterring the unlawful assembly of street racers and apprehending individuals who participate in unsafe and illegal car spectacles,” PPB said. “This mission was a successful display of the Portland Police Bureau’s ability to collaborate and ensure that public safety continues to remain a top priority.”
