Teen rescued by Air Force helicopter after falling several hundred feet at Bible camp

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teen was rescued on Saturday after falling several hundred feet off a cliff near a Washington Bible camp, authorities said.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife police responded to a 911 call regarding a teen boy who fell off the clip on the mountainside west of Riverview Bible Camp.

“Three teens had been climbing the cliffs about a mile away from the camp when one fell. The other teens then climbed down and found him bleeding from the head and unconscious but breathing,” police said. “A large-scale multi-agency emergency response was quickly activated to search for the teens. The exact location was unknown, and the teens were wet, cold, and worried their friend would not make it if no one could find them soon.”…
