The letter Eric Knox received in late April was a game changer for his organization Holla, which matches students of color in east Portland with adult mentors.
Holla was among more than 60 groups selected to receive large multi-year grants from the Portland Children’s Levy, the lauded city initiative that for more than two decades has funded programs that assist Portland’s most vulnerable young people and their families.
