PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A new daytime shelter will be opening in North Portland next month, bringing support services to the homeless people in the area.
The “Drop-In Center” in the St. John’s neighborhood is designed to provide a safe space for those experiencing homelessness by offering resources to permanent housing, showers, meals and mailing address services.
The shelter will be in the same building as Multnomah County’s North Portland Health Center (9000 N. Lombard St.), and is set to open in mid-July of this year.
