Driver hospitalized after crashing through guard rail on I-5 in Clark County

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A driver was hospitalized after what Clark County officials described as a “violent” single-car crash on I-5 Thursday morning.

Crews from Clark County Fire District 6 first responded to reports of the crash on the northbound lanes of the freeway, just south of the Fairgrounds exit.

Officials said a Toyota Tundra had “ripped through” 30 yards of guard rail before crashing on its side.

The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment.
