PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was shot in the jaw in a Northeast Portland Plaid Pantry parking lot early Saturday, one in a series of shootings in the city in a short time span.
This shooting happened around 1 a.m., police said, at the Plaid Pantry near 7100 NE Lombard. Police were called because one person was seen using a gun to threaten the victim, who was shot just before officers arrived.

The wounded man was conscious but couldn’t talk and was taken by ambulance for treatment of his injuries. Authorities said he’s expected to recover.
The shooter remains at large and the case is open and active.
About 3 hours earlier, four people were shot at an event center on Southeast Stark. A woman, two men and a teen were hospitalized for their injuries and are expected to recover.
