Gresham homeless shelter plans paused amid community concerns

GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) — Plans for the East County Homelessness Resource Center in Gresham have hit a temporary, and possibly permanent, halt.

The Multnomah County Board of Commissioners had unanimously approved the construction of the center, which was set to provide both drop-in day services and 24/7 shelter at the former Cook Plaza building on Southeast Stark Street.
