PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – On Friday, a Multnomah County jury found a Portland Police officer was justified in the use of deadly force in the death of Nicholas G. Thorn, 28, of Portland.
The incident happened October 4, 2024 and involved Officer Andrew Young. According to court documents, Thorn was armed with a .22 caliber rifle and making threats in an apartment building in the 5200 block of Southeast Lambert Street.
