PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland officials are asking the public not to call 911 to report illegal fireworks, but instead to use their online tool.
“Please do not call 9-1-1 to report fireworks use! It is very important that our 9-1-1 system be kept for reporting only active fires and serious medical problems. Your cooperation with this will save lives!” the city wrote in a social media post.
