PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The shooting that left 4 people wounded Friday night near a Southeast Portland events center is the latest incident that has caused neighbors to bring their concerns to both the city and the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission.
Around 9:45 p.m. that night, gunfire erupted near the Fellowships and Events Hall Rental, 14919 SE Stark. A 40-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 23-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were all wounded and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, but all are expected to survive.
The shooter fled before police arrived, but a neighbor alerted them to two people hiding in a backyard shed around SE 160th Avenue and East Burnside, around 15 blocks from where the shooting took place.
