Man facing federal charges for starting fire at Portland ICE facility

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A man is facing federal charges for starting a fire during a protest outside a Portland ICE building last month, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Authorities say that shortly before 10 p.m. on June 11, federal officers witnessed a man, identified as 34-year-old Trenten Edward Barker of Portland, use a flare to light a makeshift barricade against the vehicle gate on fire.

Barker was arrested June 27, and made his first appearance in federal court on Monday…
