On an April afternoon this year, a call of distress led Portland Police officers to the scene of a reported shooting. According to the Portland Police Bureau, the incident, which did not result in any injuries, unfolded in the 15000 block of Southeast Stark Street at approximately 1:47 p.m. Witnesses and evidence at the scene confirmed the firing of shots, though the bullets struck no victims.
An officer with the Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) proceeded with the investigation, obtained search warrants, and coordinated an arrest strategy.
