Nearly 500 ODOT workers laid off after Oregon transportation funding bill fails

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The first wave of layoffs has begun for state workers at the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek’s office announced Monday.

ODOT initiated 483 of the estimated 700 total layoffs on Monday.
