PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Members of Portland Fire and Rescue traveled to Idaho to honor two firefighters who were ambushed and killed while responding to a brush fire in Coeur d’Alene.
The 13-member group headed to Idaho on Wednesday and included six firefighters who joined the memorial platoon, six in the pipes and drums band, and another in the honor guard. Other participants are members of other fire agencies or retirees.
