Twelve F-15C Eagle military jets from California are in Portland for pilot training this month, causing an increase in the number of planes taking off from the Portland Air National Guard base in Northeast Portland.
The F-15C jets are assigned to the 144th Fighter Wing out of Fresno, California. They are participating in defensive and offensive counter air training and “combat scenarios” alongside the 142nd Fighter Wing’s F-15C Eagles and F-15EX Eagle II aircraft.
