Body recovered from Willamette River near Broadway Bridge

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office River Patrol has recovered a body from the Willamette River near the Broadway Bridge.

MCSO responded to a water rescue call which came in at 11:28 a.m. on Saturday. An MCSO spokesperson told KATU News a passerby spotted the body. “Someone saw the body in the water. I don’t know who. There is a walking path on the river there and also apartments,” Deputy John Plock said.

The body is being transported to Cathedral Park, where it will be transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Office…
