Prius passenger, 17, dies in Clark County crash with Kia

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A teenage girl who was the rear passenger in a Toyota Prius died in an early Saturday crash in Washougal, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

The crash, which happened at around 7:40 a.m. near SE 20th and SE 352nd, involved the Prius and a Kia SUV. There were three teens in the Prius at the time of the collision, officials said.

The southbound Kia turned east, investigators said, which caused the driver of the westbound Prius to slam on the brakes and slide about 100 feet. The rear right side of the Prius hit the front of the Kia.
