A 66-year-old Portland man was standing on a MAX station platform near the Oregon Convention Center early Thursday morning when another man struck him once in the head. James Elliott immediately fell backward, according to a probable cause affidavit. He died in a local hospital the following day.
Jordan Christ, 30, is accused in Elliott’s death of two counts of second-degree assault. Police said the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office will “consider any appropriate criminal charges.”
