Portland extends paid parking hours in Central Eastside, but more changes on the way

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Starting Friday, drivers can expect to pay more and pay longer for parking in Portland’s Central Eastside, with officials saying the district will be the first of a few others to see extended pay-to-park hours.

The city is extending the hours drivers are required to pay for street parking, the Portland Bureau of Transportation announced today.

The hourly cost will remain $2, but the hours that payment is required will now be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
