Ahmeah Brown, 21, is a collegiate runner and a junior at Portland State University. But her ability to chase down 800 meters in 2 minutes,16 seconds wasn’t the skill she needed to tackle what lay before her on Monday morning.
Instead, as she walked into the Multnomah County Courthouse for the first step of her eviction proceedings, what Brown needed was a lawyer.
