Man rearrested for starting fires in north and NE Portland denied pretrial release

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The man accused of setting multiple fires in north and northeast Portland is behind bars once again, and neighbors are hoping he stays there.

Aubrey Edwards was first arrested on arson charges on Tuesday, but because of the way Oregon’s bail reform is structured, the charges against him made him eligible for release before he was seen by a judge.

So, just after 3 a.m. Wednesday, Edwards was released from jail. A few hours later, Edwards was arrested again on more arson charges…
