PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A car crashed through a guardrail and ended up in a shallow part of the Columbia River early Saturday morning, but Portland police said the driver has not been found.
The crash along NE Marine Drive and 122nd happened around 8 a.m., officials said. Officers spotted the car on its side near the edge of the water and called for help from Portland Fire & Rescue, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office and the US Coast Guard.

An immediate search began but the driver was not around. Because of the possibility the driver may have died, the Major Crash Team was also called in to investigate.
