PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — For years Clinton Sensabaugh has bounced around from shelter to shelter. He’s looking forward to a new shelter planned for a currently vacant and fenced-in space at Northwest 6th and Glisan in Portland.
The Oasis, as it will be called, will offer restrooms, showers, food plus access to housing and health services in what the city hopes is a safe space.
“I think people are gonna be out here regardless, if you have that or you don’t have that,” Sensabaugh told KOIN 6 News. “So giving them that gives them an opportunity for something other than being on the street.”…
