$44K Rolex stolen in Lake Oswego, handyman sentenced

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Clackamas County handyman with an extensive criminal record was sentenced to prison for stealing a $44,000 Rolex watch from a Lake Oswego home.

The watch was stolen in May 2024, but the homeowner didn’t immediately report it stolen, the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office said. Instead, he tried to negotiate with Mickal Ivan Reutov, who said he knew where the watch was and would try to buy it back if the police were left out of it.

But the homeowner eventually did contact Lake Oswego police after “weeks of fruitless back-and-forth” with Reutov — who by that time had disappeared from the area.

In August 2024, Reutov burglarized a home in Marion County, pleaded guilty and was sent to the Oregon State Penitentiary for 26 months…
