SE Portland standoff suspect now facing murder charge

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The suspect in a Sunday night standoff in Southeast Portland was identified by police Monday and is now facing a murder charge, authorities said.

On Sunday night, police responded to a home near Southeast 170th Avenue where a man had reported a woman dead.

When police arrived, the man, who they believe was armed, barricaded himself inside the home, leading to a standoff that lasted several hours.
