The Gresham Police Department arrested a prolific shoplifter thanks to swift notification from a program that changes how emergency calls are handled.
Friday afternoon, Aug. 8, officers were notified via Live911 that a theft had occurred in the 700 block of Northwest 12th Street. The suspect reportedly had filled a trash bag with clothing and fled through the shop’s emergency exit toward Northwest 13th Avenue.
