Second Fatality in King Neighborhood Crash: Driver Curtis Leroy Palmer Passes Away, Portland Police Confirm

The King Neighborhood in Portland became the site of a sorrowful update as Curtis Leroy Palmer, the driver involved in the tragic crash on August 7, succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on Tuesday. The crash also claimed the life of pedestrian DaRon V. Craig, aged 49, earlier this month. The City of Portland confirmed the driver’s passing and has been in touch with the family about Palmer’s death.

A report detailing the aftermath of the incident noted that the condition of the other pedestrian, initially believed to be critical, has stabilized. Although his injuries, as they were told to be extremely serious, he remains hospitalized but is no longer under the threat of imminent death, as per the City of Portland.
