PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Big changes are coming to Portland parking next month, including longer pay-to-park hours and new parking passes.
On Thursday, the Portland Bureau of Transportation announced that starting Sept. 2, Downtown Portland, which includes Old Town and the Pearl District as well, will be extending its pay-to-park hours until 10 p.m.
Alongside that change, the city is introducing a new “5 after 5” rule, which allows people to pay for up to an extra five hours of parking after 5 p.m. without needing to move their vehicle.
