First dignity, now power: Solar panels change daily life at Northeast Portland tiny home village

PORTLAND, Ore. — This week, the power went on for the first time ever inside a tiny home village in Northeast Portland for people exiting homelessness — all a product of solar power.

Dignity Village off Northeast Sunderland Avenue was the city’s first and only village run by the people who stay there. Lisa Larson has lived there for 14 years.
