PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — 99 Ranch Market has opened its first store in Portland, marking a significant expansion for the Asian supermarket chain.
Located at 10544 SE Washington St, the new store offers a wide array of Asian products, filling a local grocery gap as the Fred Meyer in the Gateway Shopping Center is set to close in September.
The 35,000-square-foot store features over 12,000 units of curated Asian products, including pantry staples, rare snacks, and trending favorites.
A unique feature of the store is its live seafood section, where customers can select seafood from live tanks to be fried fresh on the spot. The store also provides lobster and crab steaming services.
Shoppers can also visit MINISO, which has opened its first Portland store within the market, offering exclusive merchandise such as a collaboration with the famous Japanese anime series One Piece.
