PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Hood to Coast is coming up later this moth, and when the race kicks off, one of the teams will reach a major milestone.
A squad mostly comprised of high school best friends who started running the race in 1986 will hit 40 straight years of participating.
“Half of me would’ve said, ‘You’re crazy,’” said original team member Scott Thompson of his reaction if someone had told the high school version of himself that this team would still be participating in this race. “The other half I would’ve said, ‘We’re crazy enough that yeah, we probably will still be doing it.’”…
