PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A tractor-trailer driver was detained by police near Oak Grove after hitting and killing one pedestrian and seriously injuring another in Northeast Portland early Sunday morning.
Just before 3 a.m., officers responded to reports of the crash at Northeast Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Holladay Street.
Two rescued from burning townhome in Milwaukie
Arriving at the scene, they found two people who had been hit by a passing tractor trailer. One was dead and the other was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Their current condition has not been released at this time.
