PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Lauren Johnson, who spent 26 years with the Dallas (Texas) Fire-Rescue Department, will be sworn in Monday morning as the new chief with Portland Fire & Rescue.
The ceremony is set for 10 a.m. in Northeast Portland.
Johnson and her family arrived in Portland late last week, PFR Lt. Rick Graves said. They checked out a number of Portland things: the professional skateboarding event, the Adult Soap Box Derby and tried to take in the LPGA event, as well as the OBRA State Championship Criterium, he said…
