A jail inmate in Multnomah County died Saturday evening, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies found the person unresponsive around 5:30 p.m. at Inverness Jail in Northeast Portland and, along with corrections health staff, tried to revive the inmate. Paramedics pronounced the person dead.
The sheriff’s office did not release the age or name of the inmate, pending notification of relatives. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death…
