PORTLAND, Ore. — We’ve all heard the ‘click-it or ticket’ campaign ads, but police officers across the state are going to buckle down through the rest of the month to bust anyone who still isn’t buckling up.
Portland Police said the agency is working with other law enforcement agencies for a statewide enforcement campaign on properly using safety belts and car seats.
Starting Monday and through the rest of August, agencies will use federally-funded enforcement hours to “educate the public about safety belt and child seat laws including a law passed in 2017 increasing safety for children under age two.”…
