VIDEO: Traffic temporarily closed after RV fire on I-84

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Traffic on I-84 was snarled for nearly five hours on Friday as crews battled a fire after a RV burst into flames on the westbound side.

The fire was reported at around 4:30 p.m. near Northeast 148th Avenue, about two miles west of the interchange at Northeast 181st Avenue, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Portland Fire & Rescue said the motorhome’s owners had been towing it with their personal vehicle when they “felt something on the undercarriage.” When they pulled over, they saw fire showing from the motor home, disconnected their vehicle and were able to safely back away from the fire…
