A 23-year-old Kody Richard Jensen of the Portland area has been sentenced to a combined total of 21 years and 3 months in prison after being convicted in multiple cases involving assault and sexual abuse against two separate women. An August 22 sentencing at Multnomah County Circuit Court saw Jensen receive 130 months for acts committed against the first victim, including rape, sex abuse, assault, harassment, and coercion, constituting domestic violence. In a prior case on August 7, he was sentenced to 125 months for violence against another woman, with charges including coercion, kidnapping, assault, attempted assault, and tampering with a witness, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
The sentences, ordered by Judge Kelly Skye to be served consecutively, illuminate a pattern of abusive behavior by Jensen, who physically and emotionally tormented his victims. In the latter case, details emerged of Jensen’s violent tendencies, where he was reported to have gone as far as physically preventing one of the victims from leaving and disfiguring her by striking her with a phone.
While Jensen was tried and acquitted on some charges in a third case, his convictions stand as testaments to his repeated violent offenses.
