Oregon, Washington school districts monitoring heat ahead of first day of school

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Several school districts across the Portland Metro area are set to go back to school, Tuesday, Aug. 26, on the tail end of a record-breaking heatwave.

An extreme heat warning doesn’t end until Tuesday night.
