‘Hotspot for violence’: Metro Chamber criticize Multnomah County after stabbing near Central Library

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — After a stabbing outside the Multnomah County Central Library sent one man to the hospital, the Portland Metro Chamber is calling out the city for not taking action in the area, despite demands from the community.

A man was leaving Central Library on Monday when he saw a disturbance and tried to intervene. That is when he was stabbed several times and assaulted by two other suspects with skateboards, according to Portland police.

The man was taken to a hospital with what police said were non-life-threatening injuries.
