Washougal man accused of threatening paving crew with rifle

WASHOUGAL, Wash. (KATU) — Deputies arrested a 37-year-old Washougal man Thursday who they said threatened a road paving crew with a gun, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies and police officers from Washougal and Camas were called at about 12:20 p.m. to near Southeast 352nd Avenue and 1st Street north of Washougal. The paving crew had reported that somebody wearing camouflage and a tactical plate carrier-style vest threatened them with an AR-style rifle.

The person went back to a nearby home and the paving crew left the area…
