Dozens of officers respond to SE Portland street takeover Monday night

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — More than 40 police officers responded to a street takeover in Southeast Portland Monday night, resulting in citations and an arrest.

According to Portland police, officers were monitoring a car event on SE 82nd Ave., and at 7:30 p.m., they attempted to make a traffic stop.

During the traffic stop, police said they were surrounded by spectators who began taking over an intersection.
