PORTLAND, Ore. — A power outage in Portland left more than 15,700 residents without electricity Monday morning. And for some, it took upwards of 19 hours for the lights to come back on.
Pacific Power announced shortly after 5 a.m. that 15,776 customers in Northeast Portland were without power as the provider conducted emergency repairs. Although Pacific Power initially estimated that the power would be back by 12:30 in the afternoon, the outage lasted well into the evening for thousands of residents.
