The House of the Scarlet Gables, a 1920 Colonial Revival mansion with red siding in Northeast Portland, is attracting attention for its interior details: mirrored walls, artisanal tiles and more than a dozen chandeliers.
The formal dining room has custom murals, the sunroom has a wallpapered ceiling and throughout the 6,364 square feet of living space are hardwood floors, decorative woodwork and blue-hued leaded glass windows and skylights.
