PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – The person hit and killed by a vehicle while crossing traffic on I-5 after crashing the car he had been driving has been identified, according to Portland authorities.
Jahi Moody, 51, of Portland, had reportedly driven away from police officers when they tried to conduct a traffic stop on North Rosa Parks Way around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Officials did not share why Moody was being pulled over, but said they did not pursue the vehicle. The same car soon crashed near the I-5 South on-ramp in the area.
