PORTLAND, Ore. — A tense protest in Portland took an unexpected turn when an ICE supporter accidentally pepper sprayed herself, leaving her in visible distress and sparking a wave of ridicule online after the moment was caught on camera.
Heated Standoff Escalates
The incident occurred during a demonstration where immigration enforcement critics and supporters clashed verbally. Witnesses said the woman, described as combative, positioned herself aggressively in front of protesters, loudly challenging their presence.
At one point, she produced a canister of pepper spray, threatening to use it if anyone came closer. Protesters, however, largely held their ground while questioning why she was there and what she hoped to accomplish.
