PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Portland Mayor Keith Wilson’s proposed budget in the spring included increases to parking fees as well as an increase in paid parking hours from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The City Council adopted the former not the latter, but Wilson went ahead with the hours change through an administrative rule. Now, the City Council could consider repealing that.
The suggestion was brought up during a City Council meeting on Thursday by Councilor Eric Zimmerman who had opposed both the fee increase and the expanded paid parking hours.
