Suspect wounded during SE Portland gunfire with police

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The suspect in armed incidents at two Southeast Portland gas stations was wounded in an exchange of gunfire with Portland police Saturday morning, officials said.

Around 8:45 a.m., officers were sent to a disturbance near 8400 SE Foster where a man allegedly threatened a gas station worker. About a half-hour later, that same man was spotted at a different gas station near SE 122nd and Division.

The suspect — who has not been publicly identified yet — took off from that gas station. Police used a high-risk traffic stop to corral him, and that’s when the gunfire erupted.
